Testimonials

22 September 2011

On behalf of the Port Pirie Swimming Club we would like to recognise the fantastic work that your Company has recently completed for the modification and installation of the diving blocks and the installation of the 2 new false start poles at the Port Pirie Community Swimming Pool.

Your prompt response to our request for 'help' was greatly received.  Once we were able to gain approval for the work to commence, the work was completed efficiently and on budget.  The two gentlemen that were assigned to the job were friendly and willing to complete the work involved.  The workmanship was of a high standard and the site was left in a clean and tidy manner.

We would be happy to recommend Statewide Pool Services and would be happy to contact them again if the need arises.

Regards

Angela White

Re:  Community Swimming Pools - Mimili, Amata, Pipalyatjara & Yalata

In 2005 when the Premier announced APY Community Swimming Pools, it was recognised that program was extremely challenging, the pool facility was still being designed and there was Anangu employment expectations which had not been resolved

Initially Statewide Pool Services were contracted for the construction of the pool component of these facilities.  A Managing Contractor was contracted to provide the remaining works, security fencing / shade structure, paving landscaping and office plant and ablution buildings.

As Statewide Pool Services provided efficient service and timely delivery of not only the pool component for the Mimili pool, but also the associated fencing, paving etc, these components were added to their contract for the Amata pool.  These buildings were contracted separately.  This contracting model was also utilised for the Yalata Pool.

Statewide Pool Services were contracted to deliver all the works for the Pipalyatjara pool.

The pool facilities take considerable logistical planning and organisation.  All materials, accommodation, living facilities and equipment need to be transported thousands of kilometres over remote and often challenging road conditions.

There are significant cost risks associated with program delays, which could be caused by a variety of issues such as inclement weather, labour shortages or material delays.  Statewide Pool Services managed these issues in a helpful and effective manner.

Statewide Pool Services, in consultation with DTEI, DECS and the various communities, put together a construction management plan, which ensured the least disription to the school and community, worked within limitations imposed by the site and maintained high levels of safety in this sensitive environment.

The completed pool facilities have been of high standard and well received by both the Mimili and Amata Communities.

This achievement was due largely to the high level of communication, professionalism and sensitivity of the Statewide Pool Services team.

Re:  50m Pool and Toddler Pool Upgrade

We have now completed eighteen months of swimming seasons and I am writing to record our appreciate of Statewide Pool Services efforts and workmanship and to inform you of the favourable comments which we have received.

Pool patronage has increased and almost without exception the comments on the upgrade have been very favourable.  The conversion to wet deck has given us a very modern pool and the addition of water features in the toddlers pool upgrade has been greatly appreciated by both mothers and small children

Re:  Urrbrae Agricultural High School

Urrbrae Agricultural High School contracted Statewide Pool Services to refurbish the school swimming pool.  The brief was to bring the pool up to modern day standards with the new smooth flow through sides.

The school community and other schools that use the Urrbrae pool are delighted with the new look pool.

Statewide Pools worked in with the school timetable in order to complete the pool for the summer season and the Vacswim program.

We can recommend their thoroughness and attention to detail.

Re:  Construction and maintenance of pools at Mimili, Amata and Pipalyatjara

Over the past four years there has been an excellent relationship between Statewide Pools and the three pools and schools mentioned above.  This has included the follow up service, communication with any issues and ongoing maintenance.

Statewide Pools have been able to offer a broad range of ideas and assistance especially in the construction of the Pipalyatjara pool as this is recognised as the most remote swimming pool in Australia.
