Monash Aquatic Centre

Design Brief: The Monash indoor aquatic centre is located next to the old Monash 50m pool and together these comprise the Monash Aquatic and Recreation Centre. Built in the 1960's the outdoor 50m pool was looking dated and in need of renovation when SWPS was contracted to 'give it a facelift'.

More to do with the long term liability of the pool than cosmetics, SWPS upgraded hydraulics, constructed a new balance tank and generally 'tidied up' the ageing structure.

The Result

The refurbished 50m outdoor pool now sits more comfortably along side the indoor pools. The City of Monash can expect many additional years of service from this important facility.
