Design Brief: Stonnington City Council were the owners/operators of an ageing, yet popular, inner city pool complex located in the suburb of Glen Iris. The existing outdoor 50m pool and indoor 25m pool were both heavily patronised all year round.

SWPS was engaged and took on the challenging task of refurbishing the existing facilities and building new pools - all while the centre remained in operation !

The Result

The new hydrotherapy pool, leisure pool, splash deck, indoor spa and outdoor spa stand alongside the refurbished 25m and 50m pools in a facility which is now regarded as the finest in Melbourne. SWPS proved itself capable of not only outstanding work but also the ability to meet the rigorous timelines and operational restrictions imposed by this demanding project.
